The Abruzzo region wines are, in their own way, a force to be reckoned with. Nestled between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains, Abruzzo enjoys a climate characterized by notable temperature variations, making it an ideal climate for winemaking. Montepulciano D’Abruzzo is one of Italy’s most famous wines, found on shelves all around the world.
The grapes are picked-up from the mid-end of October, destemmed, and softly pressed. The grapes are left with the peels for approximately 10-15 days, under controlled temperature of 28-30ºC then vinified following the traditional wine making process in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Founded in 1952, Schenk Italian Wineries is one of the leading wine producers of Italian wines. Two flying winemakers, five oenologists and highly trained staff look after the whole production process from vineyards to the finished product.
