Wellhayes Sparkling Wine 2020

Located in mid Devon on the southern edge of the Brendon Hills, Wellhayes Vineyard lies on a sheltered south-facing slope overlooking the small village of Clayhanger – approximately 5 miles from our shop.

The sparkling wine is made on site in an old stone barn by the traditional method, and is a unique blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Reichensteiner

The 2020 vintage has a fine mousse and balanced acidity with a fresh taste of lemon and strawberry and a hint of raspberry. It has been stored ‘on the lees’ for 3 years and is ready for drinking now but will improve over the next year or so.
