Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky

The Coffey still is the worlds first patented continuous still. Masatake Taketsuru learnt how to distill grain whisky first hand from craftsmen in Bo’ness in 1919. After establishing Nikka Whisky, he imported and istalled two Coffey stills from Scotland – they are not easy to operate but retain flavours originating from the raw material and deliver a distinctive creamy texture.

Nikka Coffey Grain is predominantly made from corn and matured in American Oak casks. Aromas of bourbon-like vanilla, sweet, fruity palate of melon & grapefruit, biscuit & vanilla with a vibrant finish.
