This excellent Estate grown red from the La Playa winery has all the rich supple plummy fruit flavours that have made this variety so popular. Good aromatic intensity and richness of black fruits like black plums and cherries, leading to notes of menthol and fresh red berry fruits. In the mouth it is creamy and round, with soft tannins and a long, savoury finish.

The Viña La Playa estate occupies some of Colchagua Valley`s most desirable acreage benefitting from its own unique micro-climate due to the Tinguirrica and Limarí rivers which run through the vineyards. Comprising 600 acres and a $10 million state of the art winery, this excellent producer is owned by the Sutil family who make superb modern fruit-driven wines from grapes sourced entirely from the estate. Exciting new vineyard development in the coastal Limari Valley, north of Santiago, is starting to produce some outstanding cool climate varietals. Viña La Playa is passionate about creating high quality, fruit-driven wines whilst remaining committed to the environment.
