Description
Duas Osgas
Grape: Aragonêz 35, Castelão 35, Trincadeira 30
Region: Alentejo, Portugal
Deep ruby in colour, with brilliant aromas of fresh red fruits and some subtle vegetal nuances. The wine is aged in steel for 12 months to focus on the bright fresh fruit, resulting in a very elegant palate with warming forest fruits and dark plums balanced with fresh acidity and velvety smooth tannins.
Cas’Amaro is an organic wine producer crafting small-batch, artisanal wines from five estates located in Portugal’s key wine regions: Vinho Verde, Douro, Dão, Alentejo, and Lisboa. Together, these vineyards span 62 hectares. Their founding and principal estate lies in the Lisboa region, just 12 km from the Atlantic coast and approximately 40 minutes from the city of Lisbon.
Guided by a deep respect for nature, Cas’Amaro follows a low-intervention philosophy in every region, prioritizing biodiversity, nurturing local ecosystems, and working exclusively with native Portuguese grape varieties to honor the country’s winemaking heritage. Beyond the vineyards, the project is strongly rooted in its community—employing local residents, supporting nearby families, and hosting free activities for schools, community groups, day centers, and nursing homes. Cas’Amaro also embraces architecture, art, and wine tourism, warmly welcoming visitors to experience their world firsthand.
