Dr Squid Gin
Made with real squid ink from a secret recipe created in Penzance, Cornwall. This unique addition is served from a copper flask engraved with the scenery, wildlife, folklore and history that surrounds the Cornish distillery.
Squid Ink is such a powerful ingredient that only a minimal amount is needed both for the distilling and colour or infusion of the gin. Vanilla was added to the base of the recipe to give a well rounded mouthfeel and perceived sweetness , coupled with sea buckthorn for a tart, fresh fruit finish.
Dr Squid gin pours black and when mixed with tonic turns a vivid pink. It also makes for a great Gin Mule when poured over crushed ice and ginger beer!
The gin is packaged in a beautiful copper flask, engraved with all kinds of beautiful flora and fauna.
Pocketful of Stones, the distillery behind Dr Squid Gin is made up of a group of friends that met whilst working in bars in Central London. After learning an awful lot about spirits and falling in love with their rich history, they abandoned the crowds of London for the wilds of Cornwall, and are now pouring all that they know in to making spirits!
