Chapel Down Bacchus 2023

Originally from Germany, Bacchus was created in the 1930s as a cross between Silvaner, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau and became available as a commercial variety in the 1970s. Under the UK climate, Bacchus has become a world class wine in its own right, developing distinct floral, citrus and grassy aromas that have led to frequent comparison with the highest quality Sauvignon Blancs.
