After selling their grapes to other wineries since pioneering vine planting in the 70’s, Wairau River Estate decided to lauch their own label in 1990. Wairau River is now one of the largest independent wine estates in Marlborough, which remains family owned and run.
Succulent baked pear on the nose, with melon, apple and apricot flavours. Light lees ageing gives the palate some weight and a creamy yet clean texture. A lingering finish complements the exotic spice and fleshy character, with well-integrated lemon notes.
