El Zafiro Extremadura Tinto 2023
Region: Extremadura, Spain
Grape: 80% Tempranillo, 20% Shiraz
Tasting Notes: Combining notes of the cherry and strawberry fruit character of the local Tempranillo with the spice and structure of Shiraz. The wine is fermented and aged in Stainless steel giving focussed young fruit which lends vigour to a mid weight palate that is supple and balanced. The finish is completed with a fresh acidity which combines with the soft tannins for an elegant lasting finish.
Food Pairing: Versatile and easy drinking, pairs fabulously with cold meats, pates, rice & pasta dishes.
Vinaoliva is a second tier cooperative that was founded in 1998. It is made up of 25 first tier cooperatives which consist of 15 wineries, 9 olive mills and 12 table olive processing plants.
