Lantides Estate is a family business started in 1993 by Panicos Lantides with emphasis on the promotion of quality Greek wine. The soil and climate of Nemea was what prompted Panicos Lantides to cultivate noble grape varieties such as Agiorgitiko, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Moschofilero, Assyrtiko and Malagousia.
Panicos Lantides was born in Morfou, Cyprus where he lived until 1970 when he decided to deal with oenology.
He started and studied in Montpellier, France, received the French diploma of oenologist and supplemented his knowledge in oenology and viticulture in Bordeaux for two more years. He then decided to work professionally in Greece, which gave him great scope for professional action. Initially he worked in a large company of that time, as its main oenologist, vinifying in Nemea, Attica and Mantinia.
After five years of privately owning a vineyard in Attica, he turned to the place he had always dreamed of, Nemea.
In 2000 the winery was ready, while the privately owned vineyard today is located for the red varieties (Agiorgitiko, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) in Asprokambos of Nemea and at an altitude of 650 meters, while for the white ones (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Moschofilero, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, and Mavrofilero) in the valley of Skotini, at an altitude of 550 meters in the prefecture of Argolida.
