Description
Cahors Tradition 2021, Chateau Haut-Monplaisir
Region: Cahors, South West France
Grape: Malbec
Tasting Notes: This wine has notes of red and black summer fruits, with rich aromatic depth leading to a nose of aromatic herbs and black olive.
Food Pairing: Goes well with charcuterie board or grilled meats.
Cahors Tradition comes from 30 year old vines planted within stony silica-soils.
Red and black fruits first dominate the nose of this cuvée. An impression that can also be found in the texture of the wine, close to a coulis of fresh, juicy and sweet fruit. A structure of small crunchy tannins brings relief in the mouth, the nose gradually reveals a richer aromatic depth, around aromatic herbs and black olive.
