Description
Crafted using traditional methods such as direct coal-fired distillation, the Yoichi single malt reflects the authentic character of its coastal location on Japan’s northernmost island. The production process is one of the most traditional in the wolrd. The small stills are coal-fired, the malts have a slightly peaty touch and maturation is carried out in bourbon, sherry and new oak barrels.
Full bodied, smooth, peaty, plenty of fruit notes, candied citrus, kiwi, leather, salinity. Well balanced, increasingly complex with a long, silky finish.
